Lactose-free cream and sour cream products

Made from fresh milk (100% cow’s milk) by physical separation (centrifugation) into skimmed milk and cream. Lactose has been removed from the milk in an enzymatic process.

Product information  

The lactose content is below 0.1%. The fat content can be individually adjusted to customer’s specification. Available as fresh cream or minimally heat-treated cream. Upon request also available with various stabilizers.

Our other sour cream products including Crème fraîche are also available as lactose-free variation.

Claims: “lactose-free”,  as long as the final product does not contain any lactose from other ingredients. Currently there is no legal requirement in place in Germany but rather a recommendation of the German Food Chemistry Society according to which the lactose content should be below 0.1%.
